- Apple slices
- Cheese slices (cheddar, edam, mimolette, cantal, gouda, etc. )
- Mustard (Dijon or whatever. Just not that baseball stadium, yellow paint looking mustard)*
- Make a sandwich
Are you almost about to try this but are thinking, “I don’t know, apple with cheese?”
It works. The apple crunch is really satisfying. The apple sweetness doesn’t dominate the vibe. It melds with the mustard you chose and lightens it up a little.
I’ve been getting back into recipes with 5 ingredients or less. When I look up a recipe that has more than 5 ingredients, each additional ingredient makes the level of me not wanting to attempt it multiplies.
It isn’t because these recipes are hard to do. It’s more that these are often the recipes that leave you with the spice, oil, or sauce that you never use again and eventually throw out.
A master of this idea is Jules Clancy.
